Guji Goro Muda coffee originates from the remote Harsu Haro Muda kebele in Ethiopia's Oromia region, a historically celebrated coffee-growing area. Farms are difficult to access, especially during the extended rainy season, making coffee transport by animals challenging. Climate change has worsened the rainy season, disrupting harvests from December to February and forcing farmers to maximize brief dry windows. Farmers use intercropping for shade and benefit from the region's fertile soil, supporting high-quality coffee without added fertilizer. Over 432 producers contribute to the local washing station. These Oromo farmers are highly respected for their deep knowledge and exceptional coffee quality.
