A Kamayan dinner is a Filipino feast in which you eat delicious food off banana leaves at a communal table, without any utensils. Kamayan generally means “eating with you hands,” which was how Filipinos ate before the colonization of the country. Traditionally people used the washed left hand for picking the centralized food and the right hand for bringing food to the mouth.
